Pool renovation in Nice,
from the basin to the deck.
We renovate the lining of the basin, lay the copings and the surround, and build the wooden deck all around. One team for the whole pool area, from Monaco to Cannes.

Why we do the whole pool area ourselves
On many projects, the basin goes to a pool builder, the copings to a mason and the deck to a carpenter. Each does their part, and it's at the joins that problems appear: a coping higher than the deck, a wooden board touching the stone, standing water.
When we do it all, we work out the heights from the start: the water level, the thickness of the coping, that of the surround, the height of the pedestals under the deck. Everything lines up, and you only have one schedule to follow.
Pool renovation: what we do
Pool tiling and mosaic
Glass mosaic, tiles, natural stone or slate. The lining gives the water its colour: a blue-green mosaic gives turquoise water, a grey stone a deeper, more mineral tone.
In a basin, everything works underwater, in chlorine or salt. We use an adhesive suited to immersion and epoxy grout, which resists treatment products far better than standard cement grout.

Copings and pool surround
Travertine, natural stone or porcelain stoneware, in random or regular formats. The coping is the hardest-working part of a pool: people sit on it, walk on it with wet feet, and it's in the sun all day.
We lay the copings with a slight outward slope, so water from the surround doesn't run back into the pool. And we choose a non-slip finish with you, because a polished coping becomes an ice rink.

Wooden deck around the pool
Exotic hardwood on joists, laid on adjustable pedestals. The pedestals make up differences in level and let air and water circulate under the boards, which makes the wood last.
We leave a small gap between the boards and along the coping so the wood can move with humidity and heat. By the sea, all screws are A4 stainless steel.
A renovation, step by step
When the copings are cracked or the surround is sinking, we don't lay new stone on a tired base. We remove, we rebuild the base, then we lay.

Choosing your materials
Each material has its own character. This is how we present them to our clients.
Frequently asked questions
What we are asked before a pool renovation.
When should a pool be renovated?
Autumn and winter are the best times. The pool isn't in use, and the work is finished in time for the start of the season. If you want to swim in May, call us in the autumn.
Can just the copings be replaced?
Yes, if the basin and the surround are in good condition. We first check that the base under the copings is sound: laying beautiful copings on a cracked base means starting again in two years.
Does the pool have to be emptied?
For the basin, yes. For the copings, it's enough to lower the water below the work area. After tiling the basin, we wait until the joints have fully hardened before refilling. We give you the exact date depending on the products and the weather.
Wood or stone around the pool?
Stone needs less maintenance and lasts a very long time. Wood is softer underfoot and is laid on pedestals, which makes up levels without heavy work. Many of our clients combine both: a stone surround at the water's edge and a wooden deck for the sun loungers.
How much does a pool renovation cost?
It depends on the size of the basin, the condition of the base and the material chosen. Send us the dimensions and a few photos: we give you a first idea, then a detailed quote after the visit.
Do you work in Monaco?
Yes. We work in Monaco as along the whole coast, from Monaco to Cannes.
